The whole world runs!

Today I would like to say a few words about really popular form of physical activity. Do you go jogging? I know a lot of people who are fascinated by this type of excercise. But... What's the trick that makes it so much trending?

At first, it's worth realising that jogging differs greatly from running. According to web portal chron.com:

You might think running and jogging mean the same thing, but in fact they are actually different. The obvious difference between the two is the pace. Jogging is defined as going at a pace of less than 6 mph, while running is defined as anything faster than 6 mph. Other differences, including how your body burns calories and how your muscles react to the two exercises, define jogging and running.

Well, the diference between jogging and running is just intensity. If we go jogging regulary we have a lot to gain. It doen't refer only to this activity. In general, physical excercise and some changes to our diet have an important impact on frame of mind and healthiness. It has been scientifically demonstrated that physical activity helps to release endorphins: hapiness hormones. What conclusion would we draw from that? We should do excercise :)

According to cardiologists, this type of exercise has a positive effect on circulation. What about persons who feel stressed and frustrated? Jogging permits them to relieve tension. Furthermore, it boosts our immune system, thus avoiding cold or flu.

Eat breakfast!

Hi Everyone!

The Harvard Medical School conducted a study which found that people who ate breakfast every day were 35% less likely to be obese. It needs to be recognised that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Unfortunately, many people, especially younger people, forget about benefits which breakfast provides. Not only does it give you nutrients you need in the morning, but it also is an excellent occasion to spend a few minutes with your family.

If you want to start your day off right I recommend you to eat a nutritional meal (e.g. a bowl of whole grain cereals with buttermilk or porridge with fruits and nuts). According to experts, when you eat a healthy breakfast, it can help lower your cholesterol levels and lose weight. What's more, they affirm that this meal provides you impoved concentration. You know that people who normally eat eggs for breakfast overweight than those who choose high fiber bread?

I believe that we should adopt some healthy and simple habits: one of these is eating breakfast. Today you have a wide range of breakfast possibilities and, furthermore, it isn't very difficult activity. So let's do it :)

How do we spend our leisure time?

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun and relaxing weekend :) How do you celebrate May Day picnic? Everyone's interests are different and, furthermore, there are many ways to make the most of your free time. This gives me the opportunity to say that it is our most valuable time: we can use it to improve ourselves.

Do you like grilling sausages? However, grilled chicken poses a hidden danger :) For Polish people eating is not a routine, it is something special. We take pleasure in grilling out and spending time with our friends and family. Unfortunately, this year the weather was very changeable with rain and humidity. Thereby, we had a chance to spend a few moments in the privancy of our own house. How can we use this opportunity?

I recommend you to read some inspiring and educational book, such a history or biography. I choose works which not only grab my attention from the start, but also teach me something about life. What is more, powerful message is a crucial factor in terms of the selection of an appropriate book.

You have a range of opportunities: the best use of your leisure time really depends on you. I encourage you to fill your free time with useful things. For instance, you can indulge your hobby: it's gives you a chance to expand knowledge and improve skills.

Jon Mirande and his novel

Hi! How are you today?

Do you know any Basque writers or poets? Do you fancy broadening your knowledge in the area of Basque literature? I would like to tell you briefly about Jon Mirande and his novel titled "The Goddaughter"("Haur Besoetakoa" in Basque).

Jon Mirande, a Basque writer, was considered one of the most renowned poets in Basque literature of the 20th century. The author was born on 1925 on Paris where his family had moved in search of employment. It was in 1944 that he began working as a translator at Ministry of Finance in the capital of France. Mirande collaborated with several not only magazines but also journals, where he published his numerous poems.

He showed enthusiasm for learning foreign languages from the outset. Although the Basque language was not his mother tongue, it became the dominant language of his literary creation. Mirande also translated works by authors such F. Nietzsche, E. Allan Poe, F. García Lorca and others. The writer suffered from a mental disorder that drove him to kill himself on 1972.

"The Goddaughter" is his only novel: Mirande finished it on 1959. The author describes the history of an adult male who has sexual relation with his minor goddaughter. It's worth reading this book for a number of reasons. In my point of view, issues that give to rise to so much controversy (e.g. incest, pedophile, suicide) grab reader's attention. Furthermore, Mirande is fairy skilled at creating characters and giving free rein to our feelings.
